New Alt

120a isn't going to cut it, your car will need every bit of the OEM unit to function on it's own properly and your system will pull down more than 100a at full load. You need at least 200a to do it right along with a good AGM battery under the hood and a supplemental battery in the back.

Remember that you get what you pay for, cheap alternators use inferior parts and often have output levels far less than OEM at low engine speeds.

If you don't want to build it right that's your option.

1st off did you do big 3 yet?

2nd. DON'T DO EBAY!!!!

Get one of those companies mentioned above to rebuild one for you, It will be worth it in the long run.

I did ebay and............ //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Don't do the big 3 as everyone instructs, here's what you do-

1/0 cable from alternator positive direct to battery positive.

1/0 cable from alternator mounting bolt or ground stud directly to battery negative.

1.0 cable for ground from battery negative to clean chassis ground.

It's counterproductive to ground your engine and then ground the alternator to the engine, your engine doesn't charge your battery.

I'm probably sticking with my current set up for a while so all id do right now is add a batt. but if i upgrade in the future ill def need a new alt. which it sounds like mechman.com is awesome. just don't have that kinda cash in my budget right now.
