new alt? new batt? what to do?

ok well my elecrtical system is all outta whack.

flick on the high beams and all my electronics shut down then power back on.

all my tachs, stereo system, and lighting

ive also noticed this if im braking to a stop.

so do u think replacing my alt and battery will fix it?

suprised no one has jumped on this yet, i guess ill say it first, BIG 3, then upgrade your battery, if problem still occurs go H.O. alternator

When I used to eat power past the extent my car could make, cylinders would shutdown.

Crazy stuff, but I never had a problem with turning on my lights while bumping.

Sounds like a short, but do what he said.

well the amp and sub mentioned isnt installed right now. so this is happening while pretty much running stock as far as power requirement goes

your battery is more then likely going dead, go get it tested at autozone along with your alt.
