LOL! Thanks for the thought Peter, but there are too many trouble makers like this guy who would worry Id ban them the first hour I was a mod.

really? i wouldnt ban those guys unless it was taken TOO far or of course was taken out of the thunderdome. they are half the reason this site sits at a 5 digit mark and i can understand the concept of makin the money by keepin the haters.

Nothing wrong with entertainment, so long as it remains respectful to other members. If a person must degrade someone else in order to entertain themselves, that is a problem. I think you are a very good example of someone around here who likes to 'mix it up' and have fun, but for the most part you are respectful. Everyone fails at this sometimes, yes even I lower my standards sometimes when I shouldn't. I wouldnt expect a ban for every infraction, in fact I think moderating on this forum has needed a lot more warnings from mods and a lot less of the all-or-nothing attitude. Snoopdan's ban is a good example, he crossed a line and should have been given a warning to let him know before any further action was taken. Im confident that would solve a lot more problems than simply banning someone, even if just for a week. Im sure Dan would have understood if Goob had said 'thats enough', and I think a lot of other people here would too.

Also, I feel there is a big difference between attitude and content allowances between the thunderdome, and the other forums on this site.

See my above comments on warnings, and the dome being allowed slightly different rules than the other forums. And also note I said those trouble makers would fear Id ban them in my first hour, I didnt say I would. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif Ive seen a lot of good and bad moderators over the years (here and many other forums).. the bad ones tend to fall into one of two categories, the ones who consider their popularity too much to make rational decisions, and the ones who go too far the opposite direction by deciding they are some sort of above the law police force who isnt doing their job right unless people dislike them. Somewhere in between those two extremes is where the good mods reside.

im badcompany3,i was personally appointed by goob as the new admin in order to help keep order in the forums where needbe and to reduce spam on the site. Cool !

Some like the changes, some dont....fact of the matter is: We're doing what we can to make the forums more user-friendly, while maintaining alot of the traditional ca.com traits. If you just absolutely cant stand the changes, why are you still here? Hoping it gets better
