30 Cubes was way too big. Why not do a component set in the a pillars? Yes putting coaxials there might be easier but I'm up for a challenge, not looking to just do something cause it may be easier.
Putting a component set up high, and another down low, will hurt imaging/staging. If that's not important to you, it will certainly help the 'in your face' type of sound. Id still consider coaxials over a comp set, a single point source that close to your face/ears might be desireable over component speaers mounted side by side.

Also, putting a comp set in the A-pillars would cerainly hurt low-end output (designed for IB), but you'll be running dedicated midbass so that's not a big issue.

For midbass, why not consider a couple pair of EU-700's (staying with the eD theme)? They are certainly midbass drivers, and 2 pair would deliver more midbass than you'd need realistically. Just a lil more cutting needed to the door. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Good luck with your new setup, keep us posted. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Sound quality isn't too big of an issue with me. This setup is designed to play loud music at car shows, if I don't like how it sounds then I can always change it. The drivers I am using are EU-700's, they just go by the 7kv2 or whatever I put.

I just don't see much of a point in buying comps if you just want it to play loud. Plus, a whole comp set in the a-pillars seems like it would be one hell of an eye sore.
Because I can't stand when people use pro audio in a car. Yeah the cars that do have pro audio get loud as hell but its not car audio. I want to be loud using car audio equipment. I don't think it would really be an eye sore considering it will match the door panels that I'm building.

Woot, cants wait to see the progress of this build! And I thought the last one was nuts.
I guess your not kidding, Never Enuff Bass!!
Its only a matter of time before I upgrade again. I thought the last one got expensive. I added up the retail value of most of the equipment going into the car and its enough for a down payment on a house. Next time it will probably be with a new vehicle
