So, last night I had a friend (who is apperently an 'expert' in car audio) help me re-install my sub in my F150. Nothing much, just a single 10" Rockford Fosgate along with a Rockford Fosgate Punch series amp and KnuKonceptz wiring. Anyway, everything last night and most of the day today sounded great. He connected the amp turn on wire to a switch, which was wired in my glove box. I reallyyyyyyy need to watch what he's doing. I pulled into my driveway today and opened the glove box to turn the switch off, ans as I touched the switch I saw sparks. As i jerked my hand away my whole glove box area began smoking really bad. Luckily, I got the glove box emptied and the truck turned off before any fire could start. Turns out, (I think anyway, too cold to look at it too far) he had wired the remote wire (which is probably 22 gauge at the largest) to a 14 gauge primary wire, and it just FRIED the 22 gauge. Ugh, I hate people.
