I'm running 160 to each mid. Ran 150 to each for over a year

How do you know when you are giving a speaker too much power?

Yeah, I don't know how much louder higher end speakers get. I have high end speakers...150w rms, getting plenty more power than that. They're loud...

I've also heard $100 infinities, polks, alpines, etc. They are all pretty **** loud. They don't all sound the same. Unless he places them differently, don't see a real difference in actual output. I guess he'll know for sure a few hundred dollars later.

Well i have to decide. Do i spend my money and get the HSK XLS or do i save my money for what i really want to do and get a new car with doors that i can actually seal. Get an ms8, and run a HSK 163 3 way component system. Cuz...then were talking.

Cuz to be honest. The ESK is fine for most my music loudness wise. They are good SQ drivers but nothing spectacular. Just when im running full tilt big bass songs do they get drowned out...and they arent drowned out by much.

I suppose if i get the 3 ways. Id end up fiberglassing them in the a pillars anyway. might as well cut a wedge and fiberglass my door speakers more on axis.

Then again idk...Ive always been told to go with 8 in drivers if your going to go with a 3 way set up.

The XLs handled a 150db sub stage. At time they over powered it.

But that 3 way...Maybe ill do that on a different build. Good to know they handle a loud A'F" substage.

I have $15 speakers bought at Goodwill and $10 Power Acoustik tweeters.

I just said fuck it.

Will be getting some Sundown Neopro 8v2's soon with some decent tweets. Won't get anything more than that, or get rid of my Ampere 125.4
