Hurtin' feelings errrday.
Yesterday afternoon, I was in my backyard when I heard my name being called upon by my next door neighbor. She walked into our backyard and said that someone had taken something from my Tahoe and took off. I went to go investigate what was taken. I knew it hadn't been my stereo as everything is bolted down. Lesson learned from previous thefts. Anyway, make a long story short, it was the next door neighbors girls that spotted the woman who took maybe 2-2.50 in change from my center console. They went after her since she was on foot and going around to diff houses/vehicles and nabbing $$. I spotted the theif on the other side of the street and my next door neighbor went after her on a bicycle. The husband of the next door neighbor called the cops and shortly later I filed a police report along with the 2 younger girls also. The police couldn't find her but minutes later heard they arrested her. The two girls went to testify and was booked in jail. Heard the theif had changed clothes and put her hair up to try and get away.
2 thumbs up for a watchful neighborhood tho. I'm not mad about the 2 bucks in change....that I can replace. The fact that this used to be a safe neighborhood just means we gotta look out for each other now. Thanks to Wal Mart and the junkies that hang out on the street corner, it's gotten worse. Thought I'd share...
