needs more kick

Hello

I am now running an audiobahn dual 10" bandpass in my truck. I have an audiobahn a275hct running it. ( 300x1 mono 2 ohm, 600x1 mono at 1 ohm) I need more kick to this system. Would it be better to replace the subs with two high quality DVC subs and get a one ohm load, or should I get a second bandpass to get 4 subs wired together to get a one ohm load? What idea would be better? Thank for your help.

If you have space for another bandpass then why not get a pair of 12s or 15s? I would get rid of the bandpass, I think you would be much better off with a ported box built to subwoofer specs. As far as using Audiobahn I cant comment because Ive never used there subs before. Do search and you will find many mixed opinions about that company. As long as they sound good to you and your happy........

Thanks for the input. The bandpass that I have is fairly small and I don't have room for anything larger. I do have the room for a second bandpass of the same type behind the seat. I just hate to poor cash into something I wont be happy with. This is now the fourth sub I have had in the truck. I don't like boomy bass, just that tight hard hitting thump that I can feel. What would be a good setup?

wow ur system must sound like PooPoo. Audiobahns sound bad enough much less in a bandpass box. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/sick.gif.b1847c8dabbfeeddbcf1a78052249e10.gif Anyways what kind of an amp do u have pushing them. Do u want to get a new amp and new subs or just subs. How much do u want to spend on subs.

I am runnig an audiobahn a275hct ( 600x1 at 1 ohm, 300x1 at 2 ohm) just got the amp and have to stick with it. Some people swear by audiobahn and others hate them, don't know what to believe. My system sounds great at low and mid volume, once it starts to kick it just gets too sloppy. I don't listen to rap, so the sloppy bass is not for me. Can I just replace the subs in the box, or do I need to toss out the whole thing that I just got two weeks ago? I have enough new equipment in my house that I can't use ( about $1500.00 worth ) I am only going to budget about $450.00 more into it so this one must count ( wife is going to cut off my nuts LOL) Thanks for your input.

If you must keep the amp and subs, then the only remedy that I can think of is to replace the box with a sealed box. A sealed box probably wont be as loud but will probably sound much better than what you currently have.
