Need to research JL W6 replacements..Suggestions!

Just in case I decide to not get my original series JL W6 10's repaired, I want to research some replacements.

I've had these since HS.. and of course in HS, it was all about loud and deep.

Now i have a different viewpoint.. Looking more for sound quality. Tight, accurate. Good for Blues and Acoustics, all the way through EDM and hip-hop.

Looking for two 10" subs. I don't have the volume in front of me, but can measure tonight. Will be powered by a Zapco AG750 amp, and the head end is a Clarion EQS746.

Looking for some thoughts, suggestions, things to avoid. ID? RE? DD? JL again? Polk?

W6's are some of the nicest SQ subs I've heard. Especially the older ones.... Maybe look at some Focals, Hertz, Morels? Something along those lines. There's a lot of SQ woofers out there. But I don't know how much better you're going to do than the JL's......

I don't know much about the R's. Are they really a SQ sub?

W6's are some of the nicest SQ subs I've heard. Especially the older ones.... Maybe look at some Focals, Hertz, Morels? Something along those lines. There's a lot of SQ woofers out there. But I don't know how much better you're going to do than the JL's......

I absolutely LOVE my JL subs... I've had them for easily 12+ years. Wish they were still healthy.

Yeah you might want to take a look into reconing those puppies. I've got 2 Focal Poly V1 13's and they're amazing! Had the box built by DC (@pro\-rabbit) and they're one of the best SQ subs I've heard. People think they're strictly SQ but they can get down too!

As soon as I read this I immediately thought the w6s would be exactly what you are looking for.

I'd get those o/s w6s fixed or you could go with the new w6s or Dayton HO subs. The Dayton HO's are very nice SQ subs that are very inexpensive.

The w6s are also very nice and you can get them online for like 350 each iirc.
