Need suggestions on comps for my Tahoe

So I have an '01 Tahoe, so I am pretty sure that the speaker size is 6.5, and I am looking to replace my stock component speakers up front because my passenger side is almost dead.

I have two 12 inch Type-R's and want a decent pair of speakers to go along with those. I listen to every kind of music, but lately it has been more alternative and rock.

Now I dont want to spend a ton of money, because I am a college student and money is already scarce. So my question is: What do you think would be the best budget pair of component speakers? And also I am assuming I would need a small amp, so what would you suggest for that?

for bang for your buck comps Phoenix Gold rsd65cs are hard to beat. They're $89.99 brand new from woofersetc.com. That's what I'm running right now and for the money they are quite nice.

Any Decent two channel between 75-150 watts per channel should work great

How do you tell a decent amp from a bad one? Like I said, I dont want to spend a ton of money, but I also dont want to get an amp that will make my speakers sound not so great

I'd suggest taking a look at Clarus Series C61-2 comps but replacing the Clarus tweeters with Hybrid Legatia L1v2 tweeters. Of course, my suggestion may not be "budget" worthy. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif
