OP, are you trying to gear this system torwards SQ? If so those IDQ's are great for it, but if your wanting more spl then there are plenty of other options.

I'm guessing by the fact he's looking for a 2-ohm stable system that he's geared more towards SQ.

true, it was his original sub list that threw me off. i dont see alpine swr or RF being sq oriented.

The only reason the type rs were on there were because I found a PAIR for $180 new

And I found a single T1 for $200 new

I'm almost wondering now if 1 12 like an IDMAX would work better than 2 IDQs

1 amazing sub vs 2 good subs. Know what I mean.

I want something that can move some air. But sound good doing it

personally id go with 2 nice 12s over 1 bad mofo for moving air. really my ab hd12 barely out shines my buddy's two tnt12s and im running alot more power 2000w to his 1200w. if i didnt have a hatchback he would definitely be louder, but im also tuned low and i like it more than his for that reason. he didnt have the room to port as low as i did which made him have to port higher. so yea he's close to me at 40hz but at 32hz he falls drastically short of my system

for 2 ohms this is a steal 1200rms at 2 ohms if you dont mind buying used korean based amp same buildhouse as aq and american bass.

i also think a lot of people dont realize how big an adequate box for 2 12's in a car trunk will take up. 4 cube plus box is big most likely lol.
