OK, i have a pair of POWFX10W power acoustic 10s. i had them hooked up to a small infinity reference amp, and they pounded like hell! they werent in a car, just in the box sittin on top of the car (buddies amp i just unhooked his subs and hooked up mine.) they are going in an 87 fiero, which has NO space for subs, especially not ones needing 3 cu ft. and 9" mounting depth, so i wanna put them in the trunk and runs some "ports or tubes" into the cab...

1. they are 1 ohm stable, so i was planning on using an audiobahn A1300HCT good choice?

2. heres the "box design" i made up... what do you think, will it work?

DESIGN 1

DESIGN 2

where they will be going... for those not familiar with fieros ( not my actual car(s) )

you have the wrong car for subs man... how about selling what you have and trying to squeeze some 8" subs into the cab...

running "port tubes"into the cab is going to make things funky.... read: "sound like shit"

ohh and screw the audiobahn.... there is cheaper, better built, more powerful and better looking amps that won't get you laughed at when you mention what gear you run

but that is just my .02

lets see if i can explain it any better...

the trunk (as pictured above in the "paint") has a smaler bottom and a larger top. basicaly the smaller section is right at 3 cu ft. (exactly what i need) so i will jus seal a piece of MDF on top of the lower section, pu tthe subs there, and run some tubing of sorts from the trunk area into the cab. but i dont know which design would work better.

the trunk is behinf the engine at the very rear of the car.

what would you suggest? i can get the audiobahn for less than $300

i need a: mono, 1000-1200 RMS, 1 ohm stable amp

OK, so IF i can build something in the car (behind the seats) they will have to be in a sealed 1 cu ft box rather than a ported 1.5 cu ft (not that much room) i do not know a whole lot about subs and such, but from past experience ported always hits harder than sealed (atleast in my applications, 88 mustang conv, lincoln continental, dodge neon, chevy S10, civic hatchback, and a few others)

so in you'alls opinnion, would they still thump pretty good in a sealed enclosure behind the seats?

like this...
