i am trying to build a good sq setup in my vw passat b6.
right now i got a diy 3way setup in front and 2 way in the back
head unit: pioneer x3800dab dsp, taa....
4channel amp: jbl px 300.4
1channel amp: ground zero 1000dxii
front:
focal ps165v1
3" from energy speakers
3 way crossover from focal flax series
back:
rockford oem 6.5" speakers and tweeters from Mitsubishi phev
sub:
rockford t1 12" custom box very specific to this t1 12"
getting dsp later..
i want the best sound quality possible in front and some puchy bass in front, t1 sub does low hz pretty good.
the ps165v1 from focal are good but i want much better
been looking at focal krx3, i see they are old and the tweeter tn53k has been replaced in the kx3 set with tkm/tmkx, are they still a good choice or should i be searching for better tweeter?
i tried getting focal utopia 165wrc but not in sale anymore, replaced with 165xp
of what i read i think i want the focal utopia Tbe but they seem to date back to 2006, how do they hold up today? any1 that beats them?
focal krx from 2009?
focal kx from 2016?
focal utopia from 2006?
focal utopia xp from??
a new kx3 set costs 1150$ here.
examples:

buy tn53k tweeter separate
buy 3" 3kr separate
buy 6.5" 6kp separate
use crossovers from flax
use ps165v1 in back
costs me 750$
2:
buy utopia Tbe separate
buy 3" utopia 3w2 separate
buy 6.5" 6kp separate
use crossovers from flax
use ps165v1 in back
costs me 1250$, i would have to buy tweeters first then rest later
3:
buy focal es 165 kx2 with the newest tmkx tweeter and a good 6.5"
buy 3" 3kr separate
use crossovers from flax in front
use ps165v1 in back with new crossover from es165kx2
costs me 950$, i would have to buy sett first then 3" later
4:
buy focal utopia no 7 active
use crossovers from flax
use ps165v1 in back
costs me 1400$, i would have to save up some more first xD
any tips, info, or experience with these speakers?
