Need some help picking equipment

This is for my girl's 92 Integra LS.

The budget is $300 and I'm pretty sure it's gunna be more or less SPL based. Since I'm gunna be riding in it a lot (and installing it) I demand it have at least decent SQ!

I'll get the measurements in a little, but if you know about '92 Integra's, she just wants enough room in her trunk to hold her long board.

So, I'm thinking either dual 10" or single 12". The budget for the whole project is about $300, but it's kind of flexible, but not by much.

$300 for subs and amp? Going to be difficult to do a dual sub setup with that.

That's a pretty small budget if you mean anything other than a single entry-level sub and entry-level amp. Dont forget a system also requires enclosure materials, wiring, etc.

it can be done. 40 bux for a sheet of mdf. 15 bux for glue/screws 40 bux for a wiring kit. you can find a decent 12" for 100 on ebay. james bang on here has a idq12 v2 d4 for 80 shipped. that leaves you 125 or so for an amp that does 400@2ohms. i bet youd be surprised.

Yeah. I mean, we aren't talking about a comp set-up here. It's just a little set-up for my girlfriend in her old *** Integra that's beat to all hell. She doesn't need a **** 15" Fi BTL x2 or something.

I was thinking a decent 12" pushing about 300-400 RMS. Anyone have some ideas?

Maybe a Type-R w/ a... well, I **** at amps?

check out profileusa.com's online store. they have a variety of amps from time to time new and refurbed. ive bought about 8 diff amps over the last 2 years and not a single one has sounded crappy or failed. all of them do pretty much dead on rated power and they last forever.

I'd do a Profile amp and MAW15 if you can find one, or an AQ SDC2.5... I think the R will really want more power then 3-400...
