hi... i'm quite new here and also to the car audio system... so i would like to ask for your opinion on the stuffs that i'm planning to buy... i'm looking for the best sound quality, clarity, loudness & stuffs for my car... and here are the option that i'm planning to get...

Fokal K2 Power 165KF

Fokal K2 Power 165KP

Lightning Audio Storm X1.65C

as for the subwoofer...

Lightning Audio Storm X2.A15.V2

Crossfire BMF-1514

Crossfire BMF-1528

Soundstream T4-15

PS: price is not an issue for me, so as for the amplifier i would just ask the shop to choose for me... but then again, if you would like to give any recommendation, then it would great...

btw... my car is Toyota RAV4, 3 door, 1994 model...

thanks in advance...

ignore the first post... after browsing through the forum and the net... i've come up with a new list to choose from... which one should i choose?

here is for the component

lanzar opti6c

fokal k2 series

diamond audio hex series

diamond audio d9 series

as for woofer

kicker solo baric l7

alpine type r series

lanzar opti series

eheh... hopefully this will be my last choices to choose from... just bear in mind that my target is to get sound quality loudess... and also performance based from the price...

I would suggest:

CDT for drivers.

JL Audio for subs. One 10" 10W6V2 or 10W7 will hit hard and be very clear.

Butler Tube Driver, ArcAudio or JL Audio for amps.

Ology for mids
JL W6v2, Alumapro Alchemy, etc. for subs

Zapco, Arc, Jl, for amps, there are many to choose from

what is your budget?
D5 series amps have awesome bang for the buck...

I agree with the above about the mids //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

As for the subs -- the above look good -- what about Soundsplinter -- AA would be nice... I assume they will be back up and running???

hate to break it up to you guys, but i'm from brunei, and all of the brand that you have mentioned are unavailable here except for JL... :-s

unfortunately, all shop here in brunei tend to increase their labour charges by 2 - 3x should i get item not from their shop... and more unfortunate is i dont know any DIY... *sigh*

anyway...

i went to this shop and he offer to install the following set...

One Lanzar HTG434 Amp (4 channel 1200 watt) connected to 2 pair of OPTI6C component (250watt rms each)

One Lanzar OPTI2000D Amp (2000 watt mono block) connected to 2 Lanzar OPTI1234D woofer (1100watt rms each)

all of it cost roughly around usd2,100 without discount yet... what do you think? good bargain? good setup?

(ps: other items not included yet)

btw... say i want to put 3 woofer, should i just stick to the 2000watt amp or use 4000watt amp? but should i use the 4000watt, wouldnt it be better if i put 4 woofer instead?

does by putting a two-way coaxial speaker in your system really help or makes it sound better/louder? eg 2 set of components plus 1 or 2 set of coaxial speaker...
