Need some help from the Guru's

Ok so I recently sold my TL-S and picked up a Mazda 6 looking into doing some audio again but this time do it correct so I dont have to end up doing it again. as of right now Im interested in Polk, I dont know why but I am LOL

Still deciding if I want 2 10's or 1 10.

Reason:

2 10's look better and fill in the trunk

1 10 people will be like **** thats 1 10 and I'll have more trunk space.

so anyway here is what I am thinking

one or two 10" Polk DXI (ranges from 40-60 bucks)

Mono channel Amp

4 Channel amp

and Polk DB series speakers.(50-70 bucks?)

my budget is around 250 maybe, trying not to spend a **** load but may have to.

Recommendation on an Amp and amp kit with what gauage?

I'm a noob in the audio field

If you want a good amount of output then saving a bit more would be more rewarding for you.

Are you building your own enclosure? If not then perhaps try to if you can. The enclosure will drastically change the overall sound of the sub(s) and the output.

Mids/highs will fall into personal preference category and the amps will depend more one your final choice for sub(s) and speakers.

Also, keep in mind wiring that will be needed and do not cheap out there. It will only cost you later when you have to redo it again.

I can attempt at making my own box my buddy works at Lowe's in lumber so he gets a nice discount on it and we've always talked about trying to make our own box.

yea the wiring I want to make sure its legit wiring none of that cheap amp kit stuff from the hole in the wall Audio stores. Had some of that in my TL and had to buy filters for the noise to go away

$250 isn't going to get you vary far, i suggest saving a little, make sure you have a decent box design, many members will design you one that will sound good, and have high output, for free, of cheap.

Yea I probably will end up saving more, even though I can get the stuff for a decent price I still need amps.

or I'll end up doing the 4 channel later on. I need something in my car i'm not use to having stock. I was going to throw my friends ****** 12 but decided not to

any recommendations on an Amp.

Time to go see who can design me a box...

Id probably chose to go with one better quality sub, than two mediocre ones, if I was on a tight budget like you are.

Some of the guys on other boards were telling me to get a SSA Dcon its only 140 bucks tempting!
