Need some help from any Germanium experts

Im still trying to tune these speakers, but I needed some help with 2 jumpers, J1 and J2, On the crossover. J1 is is for the Mid, while J2 s for the tweeter, but I dont quite understand how they work. It says " If the distance between and/or angles of the woofer and tweeter cause an undesired increase in the sound pressure level, changing the cut-off frequency of the woofers may solve or improve the problem". How exactly would this change the sound?

It adjusts the x-over frequency between 2.2 and 2.6khz - you can adjust the woofers and the tweeters x-over levels independently.

sounds like it allows some under/overlap for freq problems at the crssover point
