I need help on selecting mp3-cd head unit and highs and lows, also a good pair of 6by9's for the back this is just for starters right now, when i finish getting some more money together then i can work on the second part meaning the subs and amps. So if anyone out their hears my call then please feel free to give some good adivice much appreciation to those! i am looking to spend 1000$ for now then like i said when i finish getting some more funds together then i will look on selecting my second part! i'm in the process of looking shopping around seeing whats out their!

If u have a grand to spend get a nice head unit.Alpine 9815 or eclipse 8443 will be good if ur looking to do it right.spending a little at a time will leave u with a nice system if ur patient.

get a pioneer head unit, thats all ill ever run, i like other brands also, but i always loved the pioneer head units. they came out with a mp.3 one last season that my friend ran at finals last year, i dont rember the modle # but it has a lot of green glows in it. you cold pick one up at best buy or american for about 350.

**** a grand just for headunit and 6x9's thats about how much i spent on my first system. i just ordered the clarion 835 for $219 and i'm sure you could get some good 6x9's for under 250 then you could buy front speakers and a nice 4 channel amp w/ the rest. i dunno just my opinion. i could make me almost a whole system wit a grand and be happy. but i guess if you got the funds go for it

First off I wouldn't bother spending money on the rear spekers, they are a waste of money. First for the HU... the top two best sounding are the Alpine CDA-9815 and the Eclipse 8443, I like the Alpine better though. Plus as I said I would ditch the rear fill and get some nice components. Boston Acoustics, Focal, Diamond Audio, Alpine F1 Series, Rainbow, and DynAudio are some of the best. Here are some links so you can give them a look.

Alpine CDA-9815 $362- http://www.ikesound.com/product-product_id/1298

Boston Acoustics ProSeries 6.5 $369- http://www.woofersetc.com/product.asp?0=237&1=238&3=1226

Focal 165KP $390- http://www.woofersetc.com/product.asp?0=290&1=292&3=2205

Diamond Audio HEX's $329- http://www.acaraudio.com/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=25&products_id=447

DynAudio $539- http://www.acaraudio.com/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=22&products_id=896

Orion 4002 $229- http://www.acaraudio.com/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=21&products_id=1240

There you go... if it was me I would run the Alpine CDA-9815, the Boston Acoustic 6.5 or the Diamond Audio HEX's, and use the Orion 4002 to power them. That's about your $1000 and you will have a really nice sounding system. Then all you will need later is the subs and the amp for the subs and you are set.

That is the great thing about Maestro products, they are very thorough. Downside is the price tag.
