Depends on how much you have to spend. The Pioneer DEH-860MP is a great value and has pretty awesome features. The higher-end Eclipse units would be my choice if you have a little extra money to burn.

I like Alpine personally.

Is 4 volt enough

Actually for this year the low end Eclipse heads will do this as all except the 2 top of the line units are 5 volt and 55 ohm. The two top of the line units are 8 volt. The CD5415 is the first model with variable sub out and MP3.

personally i like pioneer decks, very reliable and a lot of features but eclipse, alpine, lots of choices...
