need help

okay i have a 2002 single cab chevy s10. i want a system and i know a enough to get around but i still need help. okay im just wondering what would be a good setup. the only thing i have so far is a sony headunit. i plan on getting two 12in kicker L5's. im still undecided on the amp and im still open to suggestions for the subs. i will be building my own box. also what gauge wire would i need? could i get away with 4?
