i have two mtx ta2301 running to two jl w3v3-4's. this guy installed it for me runnin it at 4ohm's but im not sure if he wired it right cuz i think they should be runnin at 2ohms puttin out 300watts instead of 150. am i rite or is he?
If you have one amp on each sub and the subs are single four ohm voice coil subs you can't wire the amps to two ohms. If you have dual four ohm voice coil subs you would would be able to wire the amp to two ohms.

No way you can a single sub to a single one of those amps at 2-ohms -- 4-ohms is your only option.
Did you pick out that setup, or did someone else? Those amps really aren't matched very well with the subs... shoot, you could run both subs off one amp at 2-ohms and have the same output. Is there a reason why you bought two small amps instead of one larger one?
