need help...

Alright guys i am switching amps and i took out the old amp and i went to put the new amp in and i noticed all the wiring wasnt marked positive and negative... i marked all the other stuff right front right rear ect... i know this is totally my fault, but i had been used to using knukonceptz wiring that is all marked + -... what is the best way to figure this out without taking my truck halfway apart...??

would it be alright to guess and check???? like just connect the front and if it doesnt play then switch the wires around or will that mess something up... ?

any help is verrrry much appreciated at this point...

If you know which wires go to which speaker, but you just don't know which is + and which is -, then hook up a 9-volt battery to the speaker wires, and if the speaker pops out (towards the listener), then the battery + is hooked up to the speaker +. If it pops the other way, then it's reversed.

Oh, and I've never seen speaker wire that isn't marked. The marking may be subtle, like a thin line, or they print words on only one side, or something. But there's always been something to distinguish one side from the other....

as long as you wire all the speakers the same it wont matter, they just need to be all in phase with eachother
