Need Help!

Okay first off I'm straight up new to the car audio scene. my older brother knows some but is out of town this whole month so his help is very limited. I just got a new car so it's got the stock system in it and I'm looking to upgrade everything. Definetly a new HU and I want to switch out the front and rear speakers, components in the front, and get a couple of subs too. Please give me some ideas!

What car would help for starters and what type of music?

I've got a 2006 hyundai elantra and i listen to many different types so going for SQ

dont want to spend more than around $1,000 so looking for parts that are good and reliable but obviously the budget is a little tight

I would focus more on your front stage with a good set of Comps. and and not worry much with rear fill. Look into a good HU. I like Clarion myself but Pioneer Premier and Alpine are also very good units. You may look into a 4 channel amp that you are able to bridge the rear channels to run a single 10"

Yea definately start out wit ha new HU and focus on your fron stage first.

Thanks, yea I was actually liking some of the Alpine HUs, but any recomendations for brands for my speakers??
