Need help with speaker selection

I want to replace the factory speakers in my 2005 Toyota Corolla. I'm not looking for something thats extremely loud I just want good sound quality and i want the car to look stock. I do plan on amping them and I listen to all types of music. I've been considering JBL C608GTI mark ii and P963's also Boston Acoustics Pro and SR series for 6.5 components in the front and 6x9's in the back. Please feel free to add and or take away from the list(especialy if you can save me money haha). If you guys can suggest a good amp at a good price as well it would be appreciated. Would a silk dome Tweeter fit my needs better since I listen to all types of music?

I also plan on getting a subwoofer sometime down the road, so if you can also suggest a good Sound Quality based sub that would be awesome. Theres some used JL W7's on craigslist around where i live and I've been reading on the forum that they have good SQ so i might just go that route for the sub.

I vote Boston PROs or look into HAT Unity and the used w7s would be great

As far as budget goes I was hopeing not to go over $1000 for a set of components, a set of 6x9's for the back and a amp to power them. I do plan on doing the installation myself to save money. I havent even heard of HAT until you mentioned them. they seem like top notch SQ oriented speakers and thats what i'm looking for. How much do they cost? Are they as good as the PRO's? What's a good place to check out for good prices on the Boston PRO's and HAT Unity's?

Boston is on eBay and alotta places. Both sets are 350 each iirc..I was between the 2 for a while.

They get great reviews, but I've never heard any and probably won't drop cash on em until I do simply because I know how forum boners are. I can say they've been used in sq winning vehicles and I doubt you'll be disappointed.

Im a big Boston fan and have had PROs....loved em...it's a toss up really....

Image dynamics CXS is a another great choice. Id pick those up in a minute after my experience with other ID speakers.

I really like my CDT HD61s, i had some hertz hv165s on DDT2 tweets and my mids are ALOT stronger. I would recommend this set to anyone, hit up mylows10 hes a rep for CDT(after he gets un-banned lol)

CDT Audio dealer here... The CDT HD line is your best bet for valueerformance. The HD-61 component set with HD-690CFX in the rear would set you back about $450. A nice budget amp is the Precision Power BK800.4. I can also get you JBL if you want a bit nicer amplifier. MS-A1004 for $549 if you want to run the front speakers active, or the GTO-804EZ for $299.95.

Whichever fronts u decide on, get matching 6x9s from the same company or the SR if u get the PROs

Well its like this, I went to a local JL dealer and the salesman pretty much told me that every other brand *****. Even when I asked why I should buy the JL's over the Bostons all he said is that they **** and that JL's were the best. He was pushing the ZR's on me so hard that it completely turned me off to JL's component speakers. So when a salesman throws a pitch my way I take it with a grain of salt. The CDT's do look like a quality product but I'd rather get an unbiased opinion.

The Bostons seem like a safe bet. I just wish that they had some 6x9's that were on par with the PRO's but it looks like I have to step down to the SR series for the 6x9's if i go for the PRO's. Would there be a noticeable difference in sound quality between the 2.
