Need help with speaker installation

I have a 92 saturn sl2. I'm trying to install the front door speakers now. There is something I'm having a problem with. First is how are you supposed to run the new speaker wire to the door? This seems like its gonna be a problem feeding it through the rubber thing that goes from the car to the door. Plus where that thing enters the car is kinda blocked by the dash. Maybe I'm missing something since I'm pretty new to this. Help is much appreciated.

to run new wire you might have to disassemble parts of the dash and such and it will take a bit of work to geed the wire into the door, you will eventually get it done. Why not use the existing wire though??

I guess i could use the old wire, but i was hoping to leave that all intact if i ever needed to put all the stock stuff back in. I'm gonna try a little more with getting new wire through but if that doesn't work then I'll use the old.

mine where kind of stinky too, but if you dont want your stock wiring, i would hook up to that and then pull the new wire through, kind of like fishing it through, or i used a screw driver and taped the wire to the end and stuck it through the boot, and then pulled it the rest of the way through

Well I got it, using a coat hanger. Only thing was when pulling it back through with the wire I ripped a hole in the rubber tube. Oh well just gotta tape that up well.

next time, pop the rubber boot out of the door and jamb, feed the wire through, and then you can re-seat the boot...makes it much easer. Also, I use a short piece of coat hanger and some electrical tape.
