Need Help with Ram 3500 Quad cab: Whats best box? 12's or 10's?

Hey Guys, Hope everyone out there is good on this nice Monday Night. Just got 2007 Ram 3500 with 4 door quad cab. Truck has fiber glassed box that hold 2 small coned 10's. Just got my Alpine Type R's and dropped then in it just to find out that the magnet's are too big for them to sit down into the box. Money is not a problem i want a nice system for this truck but really want the custom look that the carpeted fiberglass box has. Any idea's on what i should do, thanks? I'm assuming that these 2 10" type R's sound terrible because they are not seated correctly. I have an older Alpine V12 Mrd-501 amp behind them. They are dual coil 4 OHM speakers too. Need Direction please, thanks!!!

What fiberglass box do you have?

Must be a shallowmount box.

Not sure of the name but it's pretty shallow. Is there a good box that someone can recommend? There is a box called Fox Box by FOx Acoustic. They make it in a dual 10" ported and a dual 12" ported. Also what would be better 2 SA 10"s or 2 12" Alpine type R's New style. Probably getting ahead of myself but I could not help asking this. Main question is what box should I get. The Fox Acoustic box is 230.00. Let me know, thanks.

What's the specs on that box or do you have a link? Also there both good subs but I would just run what ever you have the optimal space for instead of something you don't.
