Okay so i have 2-12 kicker L7s installed recently with a 1300 watt phoenix gold amp , i know there underpowered . My issue is my windows rollup slow , my lights dim while mybass hits and my battery has died on me 4 times , could there be a drain ? Or my batterys life span is about done , im trrying to upgrade to a single battery that will push my system and be good for daily use. Im running everything with a 4 gauge , and my alternator was replaced about 2 months ago so i know it cant be that.i heard optima yellowtops would be good .

Look into doing the big 3, upgrade that 4 gauge to 0 gauge. Find out why your battery is dying, then get a new battery. Check your power wire for any pinch points, had my battery dying when i installed my first system because the power wire was pinched. As far as batteries go, take a look at oreilly's they have an agm at a good price, so does Sam's and I think Sears if you have either near you. You can also look into C&D, there are a few members on here who sell those, I have one and it works great. I'd do the big 3 and run 0 gauge wire before buying a new battery though.

Oh and I wouldnt put to much more than that 1300 watts on those L7s.

How much does a big 3 usually go for? And how come i shouldnt push them anymore than that , sry im a noob lol . Im going to check my battery for drains tommorrow first thing , if the battery is dead then ill get a new one

If you do get a new one first, like i said look into oreillys agm, Sams, or Sears. Make sure to get an agm as they are better than regular acid batteries for car audio systems. Big 3 can be had for about 30 bucks if you piece it together and dont fuse it, fused they run about 40 bucks. Those Kickers usually dont do to well with anything over 1500 watts.

Okay so check me out , im looking to get the big 3 done tommorrow , but first and foremost gonna check if my battery is still good , right now it starts up right away but when i bump my system it takes a toll on it , so if its still good that means theres a drain somewhere , so ill get that checked out and then install the big 3. And i forgot to mention i do have a cap but i doubt it does Nything i hear alot of **** about em , and which batt from sears do you reccommend if you can link me.

First, get rid of the cap and go to an autozone or something similar and have the battery and alternator checked for free. After that, you'll know what's wrong. Then, Do the big 3 with 0 gauge wires. Besides a good battery in front, I would put a agm battery in the trunk next to the bass amp.

And I hope your alternator is bigger than oem to support your electrical.
