Need help with my enclosure!!!

Whats up everybody. I recently got rid of my 2 JL 12W3v2s after I blew them. I replaced them with 2 Pioneer Premier tsw2000spl subs. However, when we were putting the Pioneers in, we noticed that my sealed box did not have a center divider. When I went back to the shop that made my box, I was told that I didn't need a divider, but aren't I losing output? Don't get me wrong, these subs pound nicely, probably harder than my JLs did. I am also running on my stock battery, with a capacitor. I was thinking about replacing the stock battery with a red top optima. Will I get an increase in sub volume after I get the better battery? I know this is all kid stuff to you pros, but please help me. The shop also told me that I should just get a 12W7, but I know there are many other possibilities. Do you have any suggestions as to setups I could go with that would be comparable with a W7, or do you think I would be fine with the Pioneers I have.

P.S. - I am running a JL 500/1 amp

The shop offered that because it is there best sub they have, and most exspensive! There just tryin to make a sale.

You do not NEED a divider but it wont hurt to have seperate chambers. Many people belive if you are running your subs in stereo with tho channels left and right. It will cause problems with cancelation and even possibly damage to your subs. So why not put a divider in.

If you seriously are not happy with the pioneers and have the money for the JL buy it. If you want to save some money but have a similar product there are many options.

What music do you listen to?? do you want more SQ or SPL or in between "SQL". Let us know and we can recommend a few brands that will meet your needs.

i've found that every sub stage i've worked with that was sealed in a shared chamber had problems with cancellation and eventually injurying the woofers (think of a tug of war). Also... noticed much better performance if the subs are wired together-mono in a shared chamber.

Sorry, dont have anyhting more to go on then my own experience.

If the subs are receiving the same signal there will not be a cancellation problem with the shared chamber. If they are wired in stereo then you might have problems. The generally best solution is to wire them to the same channel as suggested above and that solves the cancellation problems with a single chamber.

trigger, i mainly listen to hip hop and rap. i liked the sound quality that my JLs brought, but my pioneers seem to get louder, but the sound quality is noticably lower. I am looking for a sub to have adequate sound quality, but to scare me when it hits. My pioneers do their job for now, I mean they pound, but part of me still wants to upgrade or change brands. c, i have seen a lot of buzz about the adires. how much do they usually cost? what kind of amp should i run them from? i have a JL 500/1 now, would that do the job? any other info you want to include is cool too. thanks man.

With only 500 watts to work with the JL would be number 1 option if money is no issue.

Cheaper route RE SE, Adire

But for your best options JL W7, or W6v2.
