I just got the interface, it is hooked up correctly, and Ipod software is updated. I have a few questions that the manual doesnt cover.

1) I see that the interface charges the Ipod when on or off. Once fully charged will it quit drawing current from my resting vehicle?

2) Ipod stays on, is this bad? I read that it is suppost to turn the ipod off when radio is off or not selected...if it stays on, and it is always getting charged, it will over time drain my battery. I there a fix?

3) I have no HU display of the songs, the display number goes from 1-99 then doesnt count up any further, no song title display at all. Is there a way to have the title display?

If these cant be fixed I will take it back. $199.95+tax for the interface and $9.95+tax for the harness. If these cant be fixed and no display it honestly isnt worth my time. I can just as easily use the Eclipse's analog aux input to get the same results.

Hi. I emailed ipod2car. A few months ago, i was interested in the AVN5495. Eclipse said That unit does not support text from ipod2car. So. im guessing if it wont display text for that, it wont display text for any. Basically you have a $200 aux input. you can control the ipod thru the stereo..but thats about it. go for an auxin, with the belkin auto car kit. Takes hte audio out of the botoom of the ipod
