Greetings all! This is my first post here!
I recently purchased a pair of Dayton Audio 7” paper cone designer series woofers, some Peerless ring radiator tweeters, a pioneer 4 channel 40 watt amp, and a Dayton Audio DSP.
The woofers and tweeters are wired to the stock stereo, however I want to hook it up to an external amplifier but there is a problem.
First off, I’m only doing the front woofers and tweeters in my car.
Second of all, I want to wire each woofer and tweeter with its own amplifier and DSP channel, to maintain control over each individual driver.
The problem is the stock stereo sends a full range signal to the woofer and tweeter, and somewhere along the line it passes through a crossover, so tapping Into my stock amp output won’t do anything because the factory crossover will still be in the way. Because of this, I cannot control each driver. I need to find out where this crossover is in my car. I have a 2013 Elantra Sedan.
Any help?
