Need help with finding the right stuff... help a newbie out!

Ok Ive got plans to get subs and amp in around a month. Im still getting the money though... Im looking at having around 500 dollars to spend so Im wondering which subs and amp i should get for around that... was looking at alpine and rockford frostgate 12 inch subs but I have no idea what to look for when it comes to amps... Im just thankful that I have you guys... also I want something thats gonna turn heads I like bass in every type of music I listen to and once I get subs ill probly like it even more.

also what amp would I need to power these and get the most out of it.

Well, rockfords can get quite loud, but won't necessarily sound great in the process, are you looking for sound quality at all? or just to be loud?

im gonna have it where all my highs will be playing in my kenwood exlone 6.5 speakers and factory tweeters and the bass will be sent to the subs...so Im just looking for subs that have great bass and get loud.
