need help with choosing an amp

does it matter if the amp is 1 ohm stable? for example : http://www.millionbuy.com/powasa10001d.html

- I'm sorry, for max power from the amp, you want a mono amp (not a 2-channel) stable at but no lower than 2 ohms... your single woofer will be 2 - ohms total with the voice coils wired in parallel.

A one - ohm amp would work fine and be safe and all that, but you will only be getting the 2 - ohm rating... what I'm getting at is that you will probably be paying for more power than you can get out of it, so while it will work fine, it probably won't be the best value for you.
