I want to buy a T-Rex billet grilles for my 04 ford explorer so I was browsing around for billet grilles and then I came across this website.. There are 3 different prices for T-Rex billet grilles.. And I am trying to figure out what exactly is the difference between those 3 grilles?? I cant even find any difference..

any one of you know what exactly is the difference? I saw that the second one on the list is the bolt on while other 2 does not say what they are..

here is the link

I am planning on getting a set with black powder coat paint on them and get the silver/black theme going on my explorer..

thanks in advance

dont get the overlay, get the replacement one. pretty sure youve seen pics of my grille..

not the best pic

nah i dont think I have?

yours are by T-Rex as well?

whats wrong with the overlay one? and what will i have to do if i get the replacement one? will i have to cut any plastic or cut the bumper?

mine isnt trex i dont think, but its similar.

the overlay just goes over your existing grill and you will be able to see the ford emblem and stuff through it, just doesnt look as clean.

as for installation the top is super easy, its just 4 screws, the bottom one is a little more complicated

hmm alright..

so that means i will have to cut my stock bumper off? that is what i am afraid of lol

show me some pics if you have any?EDIT: my bad, just saw one on top post.. that is exactly what i want, but the T-Rex one cuz it got the bottom side molding which looks better imo.. and i will want it powder coated black.. should be cool..

in fact, im pretty sure i saw a write-up for the bottom grille over on explorerx, if not i can give you an idea of what you will have to do.

its not too hard, its just not as easy as the top and its a tighter place to work in

no, it replaces it, but you dont have to chop up your bumper to get it on, lol. you just take out the plastic piece on the bottom, it has 6 hex nuts that hold it on, then you just install the new billet.
