Need help with choosing a good anti virus program.

Im on a Mac right now //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
saweeet me too. Dont u love being able to DL all the **** and not have to worry bout shit? lol

What do u have? I have an older iMac 24" intel(dual core)

The Shield Deluxe 2010. Best IMO. Used it on my Toshiba while running Forstwire, caught every virus that i got and took care of it. Saved my Toshiba.
I just did some research on this at another forum. Its rogue software. It falsely detects things and removes them to make you think it works, but it doesnt because those objects arent really there.

BTW AVG sucks, so do the AV in comodo internet security (their firewall is good), Macs get viruses just like linux and windows (you dont see them because of market share), MSE is pretty good, NOD32 is not the best but a top 3, Avira has 99.7% detection rate higher than any other company and is free. I think it speaks for itself.

I'd recommend AVG Free + Malwarebytes protection (Get latest version via torrent, enter the key, and start the protection module BEFORE updating during install). The key here is gong to be finding the best program with the smallest memory footprint. You don't want a resource hog.

Antivirus programs are for *******

I reformatted my laptop awhile back and just never installed any kind of antivirus. As long as your not a dumbass, it's not hard to keep your computer clean...

I'm not sure about most people, but I've NEVER gotten a virus from just browsing the internet. Anytime I've gotten something it was from downloading a bad torrent. My parents download shit and click stupid shit, install stupid toolbars, etc. and that's how they get their viruses. I don't understand where most people get their viruses from? Email?

Not sure really. Id guess browsing dodgy sites. The average user wouldnt know a dodgy site if they saw one.
I've been to some "dodgy" sites, and I've still never received a virus from that...is it even possible to get a virus just from visiting a website? I always thought you could only get one from actually downloading something...
