Need help with center console ideas.

Ok i have a 2004 Dodge Ram Quad Cab. Im planning on removing the center console and buidling a box in its place. i have plenty of room for a box but i need to know if the box should be ported or sealed and i would also like the know the amount of airspace needed for the sub.

I plan on using a Kicker Solo Baric L7 12" and a HiFonics 1500 watt amp. so let me know what u guys thinks, and thanks in advance
