Need help with a craigslist find. Is this a good deal?

Hey guys, so I am in the market for a subwoofer and amplifier and was very interested in the Alpine Type R. Found a Type R 12" Subwoofer on craigslist and a Alpine Mrd-m605 Digital Amp all for $150 (with a box). Can someone identify the year of the subwoofer for me? There's no way I can pass up this deal right? It seems like a steal. Any opinions would be great. Thanks!

It's a decent deal. The Type R is 2 models old and rated for 500 rms I think. Alpine amps are decent as well. That particular model is also pretty old. Make sure it works and you're good... It looks like it's in a sealed box. You'd wanna go ported with a Type R. But that's just my opinion.

Most people won't do that. I know if I was selling I'd tell someone to get fucked. I think the dude is priced pretty well at 150. If 150 is where he started though I'd probably lowball him a little bit just to see.

Prefab box and older equipment if check the coils on the sub and have the seller fire it up to listen to it. Personally I wouldn't buy it unless I could get it for $100 or less
