I own a 2003 Ford Escort ZX2 and want to install a 1999 Ford Escort OEM stereo. The stereo fits in the dash opening, but the stereo connections are different from the car wiring harnesses.
no. you will have to hard wire it. can you tell me why you bought another factory radio? aftermarket is sooo much better. plus sometimes the zx2's have the rear speakers amped this could casue a huge issue.
I didn't buy the 1999 Factory Radio, I pulled it out of my 1999 Escort that I totaled. Just trying to get a working stereo in this car. I found a factory harness for the radio, and a mating harness to attach to the car harness. Now I just need to connect all of the wires together.
