i have a chance to pick up a well built sealed enclosure that utilizes the factory spare wheel. the sealed box is 1.5 cubes, i have a 1000 watt hifonics amp so i look to be feeding these subs 500 watts each daily. I have about 300 dollars to spend. The less i spend on speakers means more i have left for beer //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Sundown e8s that woofercooker is selling are what you need and you would have $ left over for beerz.

but typically 8" and spl don't go together same with sealed and SPL.

as far as spl on the power that you hae and for that enclosure the 1508 would work best for you. If you are looking for good sq with nice output on low power you can get Sundown e8s. As far as price goes 2x1508s cost as much as 6xe8s... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

I am getting ready to build some fiberglass ported boxes for my pair of CF 1508s. I have yet to decide what I am going to do with the normal one in my photo. Regardless, these are the SPL 8s:

ETA: with your sealed enclosure, you could probably stick a pair of 3" Aero ports in/on it to make it vented. If the port doesn't fit inside the box, invert it and run it outside the enclosure //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

yea thats what i figured with the sealed setup. I guess my actual question should of been which pair of 8's would let me get loud with the power i have and the limited amount of money i have

sorry to inform you but Chinese assembly line woofers don't compare to American made hand built subs...they don't get as loud or as low as DD's......
Looks like same pork fried rice to me same size coil same lead wires same advertised suspension 1.6" of usable throw is the same as the 55mm as advertised on DD's site just pointing out obvious..your paying for a magnet boot and pretty top and bottom plate dumbass.

Well I've compared them ....same amp same box the AQ's were 1.5db down from the DD's...plus I've never blown a DD on a 1000 rms...or even 1500rms...the AQ couldn't handle 1000rms without sounding like it was gonna come apart....assembly line crap don't compare to an individual hand built speaker that has to pass several test before it is packaged and leaves the company...If it don't pass it is redone............but waste your money and learn or spend a few more dollars and do it right the first time...DD ...FTW ....
