Need help.. What has gone bad??

I'm sure you guys know about my SX blowing and all that. And how the dustcap was getting hot after just a lil music. BTW while my SX is out of the box, I pushed down on the cone a lil to see if it made any sound, like a scratching VC. But it didn't I thought that was the sign of a blown sub.. K so back to what I was saying. Now I have my 15 hooked up in the same box as was the 18, 8 cubes sealed. Now after playing the 15(which sounds normal) the cone is getting hot as a mofo (no pun intended). Is it my amp that shit the bed or whats up guys? EDIT: Gain at 1/2 and NO bass boost...

Having the cone heat up doesn't mean there's anything wrong with the driver...unless you're well over the thermal power rating.

It's to the point where if I play it for maybe 45 min the dustcap will melt...

hmm im not a professional or anything... but it seems like you "may" be doing something wrong
