Need Help w/ my Type R's and New amp

I am looking to get a new amp for my type r's, i currently run a jl 500 but I want a alpine MRV-M1000 ... the problem is that i have 2 12" 4 ohm DVC subs....I wanna get 1000 watts rms outta the amp but it only does that @ 2 ohms.. If i wire the subs like in the RF wiring diagram, i can only wire these subs in the 1 & 4 ohm configurations. But if i wire one sub to get 2 ohms, and the other separetlyy for 2 ohms, and wire them up to the amp, can i do this and not fry up the amp??

If the amp isn't one ohm stable, then you're shit out of luck. Have you bought the amp yet/what's your price range for one?

nah i havent bought it yet my price range is up to $600 ...i want a good quality amp

RMS @ 4 Ohms 200x2

RMS @ 2 Ohm 500x2

RMS Bridged @ 4 Ohms 1000x1

yea i am sorry..... how much of a difference would i see if i used my originall jl 500/1 and used a ported enclosure rather than a sealed one?

Jmac....could you possibly come up with some plans to make this box...i have 30 sq ft of mdf and i would like to kno the dimensions and how to tune it to 28hz thanks alot
