HI everyone. I need help setting the gain to my Rockford Fosgate Power T10001bd. I have a kenwood dnx8120 as my head unit. I have tried setting it with a dmm and it just doesn't sound loud at all. If anyone can think of anything i would appreciate it very much. thanks

if you want a good answer or any type of answer you need to ask a more detailed question and give more information.

however many watts you want*impedence=sqrt of volts

ie. 600(watts)*3(3ohm woofer) = sqrt of 1800 = 42.xx volts

I'm trying to get 1200 @ 1 ohm. I am setting my dmm to 34.5 volts with a 50hz test tone. I have 2 pg rsd10d's in .65 cubes each sealed. I also have a aq1200d and that didn't get loud either. When i had my JL 500/1, it was a lot louder then what i have set up now.

I have crossover settings on my head unit. Should i turn them off when i set the gain on the amp? My fronts shouldn't be over powering my subs.

What kind of music do you listen to and what db was that test tone at? if it was a 0db 50 Hz, you should try a -3db 50 Hz

Yes

thesuicidaleggroll.com has some gain setting tutorials if you need em'

Music recorded @ a -3dB (or -12dB for that matter) median can (& does) have transient peaks near the 0dB mark. There is dynamic range in music //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif 0 dB test tones are recommend to insure the peaks aren't getting clipped.
