That's the one I bought in 2000 to replace the lost Code Alarm remotes that came with my truck. A number of months ago the one remote's battery had died so I replaced it. That remote would not work again, so I kept using the other remote. Today I finally found the instructions that came with the remote and tried to program the nonworking one.
I opened both remotes to swap batteries. The yellow LED on each remote flashes when buttons are pressed using either battery. However using either battery the one remote actually arms/disarms the alarm, while the other does not. There does not appear to be any corrosion inside of either alarm. Again, the nonworking alarm worked perfectly until the battery died on it a number of months ago.
Any idea? By the way to program this remote you open the driver side door, turn on the ignition, hold down the hidden disarming button under the dash for 20 seconds, the alarm chirps three times, keep holding the button, then hit the arm button on each remote once, release the disarming button under the dash, and start the vehicle.
