Need HELP!!! Power problems

Ok so I just bought 2 12 in pioneer subs,1600 w 1 ch amp also pioneer. Also a tsunami 1.2 farad capacitor. I had power to my old amp then it just stopped working. Set everything new up yesterday and had power to the capacitor then it just stopped again. I checked all the fuses and all the wiring and I don't see any problems. Can anyone help me?

take the capacitor back.

what size wire are you running for power and ground

do you have the big three, HO alt, or additional batteries?

I have 8 gauge for power and ground wires. I don't have any of the others. I'm not familier with these things but who hooked my system up for me is but not much with the newer products. Do you think that I just don't have enough power going to the amp?

i would go with 4, or even 2 gauge for the power and grounds. also, fuse the power wire within 12 inches from the battery. have a good, solid grounding point. after that it should work fine
