I just got a Camry Hybrid. I put in a Kenwood DNX5120 and would like to get a sub for the trunk. I'm not an audiophile by any means, but would like something that can handle deep bass and is loud.
In my Corolla, I had 2 MTX 10" subs (200 watts RMS each). With that, I had an Audiobahn A2002T putting 100 watts to each of the subs.
The trunk space in the TCH is limited, so I don't want to give any of it up. At first I was thinking abt shelling out for a custom enclosure, but I think I found a box that will fit above the Hybrid battery in the pass-thru (I'm trying to do this for as cheap as possible). I was looking at
Sub: CP108LG-W3v3 (250 watts rms)
Amp: Alpine MRP-F600 (300 watts to the sub)
Is this going to give me as much bass as my old system? Even close? Do I need two of them (not sure if this would fit in the pass-thru).
Otherwise, is there another sub enclosure that has similar dimensions (not more than 5.5" deep)?
And if not, could I supplement this system w/ some front door speakers that can help with bass?
