Need help picking new component system!

Hey all. I'm going to be buying a new car this weekend and I want to upgrade the stock sound system asap!

I have (going to have) an 03 Civic Si hatchback.

What I'm looking for. Bass without subs.

I got into a 2012 VW GTI last week, and the stock sound system was AMAZING. It was loud, clear, and the bass was insane considering it didn't have subs.

So I wanted to know how to get to that level of audio Godliness without getting a sub.

My hatchback will have 6.5 in the doorpanels and 6.5's in the rear seats as well. Plus the tweeters, but I'm not sure what size they are.

Help is appreciated. And my budget.. less then $500 would be good. Including necessary amps and stuff.

Thanks in advance.

btw, is this legit? http ://www.cdtaudio.com/megabass.htm

That is a very nice set of components I'm the cdt dealer on the forum so I can help you any of their stuff. Also you'll need to mat your doors to get the most out of the set. Especially if you want bass from them. Also a set of 6.5 subs for the rear doors will help

Ah ok cool. I think I'll go with some components from here.

Also. Yea I was planning to get some 6.5's for the rears. but which do you recommend? Should I use the rear 6.5's for bass. Or just use the same ones I used for the door panels?

Thanks for the help.

A $500 or less budget is not going to get the job done right for what you want. Here's what I recommend:

CDT Audio HD-6MOPro All Environment 6.5″ Two-Way Component System

The CDT HD-6MDVC sub pair would work nicely in the rear seat area. These are dual 4 Ohm so you can wire them to 2 Ohms to get more power out of your amp. I have these in my front doors on 225W RMS powered by the rear channels of a Precision Power P900.4. I don't have that amp in stock now but for a lower budget option I can do the PPI Sedona or Black Ice series. Sedona S760.4 Black Ice BK800.4
