OK so I just bought two 15" MTX Thunder 6000 subs and need to start looking for an amp. here are some specs:

4 ohm

freq. response: 27Hz-150Hz

power handling (RMS/total): 300/750

voice coil 2"

I was told i should look for a 600-800w amp and have been looking at a lot of different ones. Money is somewhat of an issue, ideally i'd like to keep it in the $100-125 range or less if possible. I dont know the difference between mono/2ch amps, nor which one would be better for me. could anyone guide me in the right direction of what to look for and/or give me a couple brands/models to look at.

any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

I had an Autotek SM-1 1000watt amp that IMO did close to rated power, but no proof it was doing 1000rms, but should be perfect for what you need.

Hit up onlinestereo.com for it.

I paid 139 for it Brand new, but I believe it is 150 now. Not going to find a much cheaper amp than that, that will get you where you want to be.

I had it on two el cheapo Pioneer subs in a sealed box and stock battery with 4g and almost snuck a 140 on the TL, lol! So it does a good job!
