need help picking a sub, too many choices

So I thought I was set on which sub I wanted, but I ran into someone who had a really decent system. I was really impressed with his knowledge and the way he did stuff and he gave me advice that went against my original choices. I had never heard any of my choices, and I did get to listen to his setup and It was very good.I was originally going back and forth between an AudioQue 12"HDC3 or a DD 2510.

Right now I have a box I built off the DD Audio website specs for a "high efficiency 12" box", The website said that the box was 2.5 Cu Ft tuned to 35Hz - 40Hz.

And I just bought a Hifonics Brutus bxi 1210d that does 900W RMS @ 2 Ohm and 1200W @ 1 Ohm.

Right now I have an old Orion 10" XTR Sub that I found on top of my friends fridge, It says it can do 800W RMS and has 4 Ohm DVC. Im gonna push this baby until it pops, so I have sometime.

I have about $200-$400 to play with but I do have a wife to answer to for all my purchases so I would like to keep the purchase down to one time and need it to last for a while. I listen mainly to metal but on occasions I do listen to Rap just to bump. I'd like to stay with a 10" but I can whip out the sawzall and go up to a 12".

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

the amp I sold you will push alot of options, I am of course biased to the Hifonics but for 150 $$ or less if anyone has a better option for a 10 or 12 that will sound better than an Atlas sub please give options. I can get RE as well so give him some options. the atlas subs are nasty tho better than an RE sx IMHO

i have to disagree with atlas being "better" than the RE, but it's subjective. IMHO, the DD will outperform either of them anyway, so the 2510 would be my choice.

Box is made out of 3/4" MDF, Port Fires to the driver side of the car and the sub fires into the back of the car. Its a 2dr integra hatchback.
