gonna spend some cash on a great setup but donno what to get. wanting 2 kicker l7's 12" but donno if i need d2 or d4 subs for the amp a kicker 1500 mono class d amp or a 1500 bd rockford fosgate which is better?. also what kind of box?!?! if anyone could find a good box for sell somewhere on the net itd be really helpful if i could get the site. wanting a ported box. thanks for any helpp!

so if i wire up the 2 kickers d4's to a fosgate 1500 bd it doesnt matter if i wire them in parallel or what as long as its getting good rms wattage?

oh and could anyone find me a good box to order off the web for these preferably a ported one //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif i donno what the differences are in types or what to be looking for tbh

Ehh, don't go prefab. There are lots of people on here who could build you a proper box. You now have me wondering if you're planning on paying retail for those subs and amp.....

I had my box built by bonesninja and it blows any other box I've ever had out of the water. I think he's on a break from building boxes at the moment though.

There's a ton of people on here who can design and build you a nice box, all they need to know is when you're paying them, what you want, and how big of an area they have to work with //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Both the Fosgate and the Kicker are great amplifiers and put out good power, irregardless as to what people will tell you on here you will not be disappointed either way. There are other brands which may be cheaper that can give you the same result, as well.

The woofers(as stated also) do not "hold" an ohmload. That's the amplifiers job. If an amplifier is 1ohm stable, run that amplifier at 1ohm, no lower of an impedence(until you have more experience and know what you're doing for competitions). Two Dual4 ohm woofers wire to a 4ohm or 1ohm load, in this case a 1ohm load is what you're wanting with that Fosgate. The wiring is easy for this scenario - the positives go together, the negatives go together. Connect them together, then connect them all to the amplifier...easy done.

thank you guys so much:)//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif no other forumn would give me straight up awnsers like you guys did. u know where i could find decent boxes on the web dont want to spend to much more on these things and all i can find on the web are prefab. oh and im not paying full retail for these sell going on in my town for the holiday coming up get half off

what exactly is prefab i just know it sucks lol does it just mean its like not custom built for ur subs but just a box to put em in?
You can buy a prefab box made for your speakers specs but you will still run into build quality issues ranging from material quality to craftsmanship.

Most prefab boxes are just generic and are sold as universal. There is no such thing as universal........
