Need Help On Confusing System.

OK, so heres the deal. Me and a friend of mine are planning on get a

12'' sub and 2 6x9's and building a box for them. We want to put this on the bus for the long trips for football. But we also want to hook it up in the locker room once we get there. We are planning on buying an amp and a head unit as well. Any help as too how we could wire this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much

umm... why don't you just buy a boombox? it'd be cheaper, easier, and sound better.

boombox ftw also ur going to need a battery and tap into the buses chargin system if u want it to last for a while

I think the easiest way would be to use a home receiver that you can hook into a power invertor in the bus. Hook up a nice big invertor in there, and utilize a home receiver with a sub output. This way the whole system can be plugged into an outlet, wherever you go.

I wouldn't go the cd route, as it would probably skip. Just have someone bring an iPod or similar player with them that can be plugged into the receiver.

Build it all into a nice large cabinet on some wheels with locks. Port a couple 10's or maybe a 12 and run a few coaxial speakers off the main channels.

Only thing I'm not sure of, because I'm no expert on HT, is if the receiver would have a built in sub amp...You may have to buy one additionally.
