Need help on alarm decision.... want best protection on market.

I went with a viper a few years ago on my truck, it is the 791xv and has served me well, only complaints are the remotes are not to vibration friendly. My motorcycle killed my first one and the second I had to open and fill the boards with hot glue, the other lame part is the remote window module can only bring em down and you have to un arm then rearm to put the windows up. This hot glue did fix it though.

As far as ANY alarm you get, they all work about the same in the PREMIUM end and do go to that side. they all show someone that theres an alarm, page you when its going off, honk the horn, kill the starter and offer several things such as remote start, remote windows, turbo timers, and many other features....

The key thing to remember is that the alarm will only tell and help prevent your car from being broken into, it will not stop it. in other words keep it clean and outta sight and outta mind. Think what you are doing, where you are jamming and try to varie daily patterns.. theres a lot to do to assist an alarm to not having to go off at all and having people target other vehicles instead of yours. but by all means enjoy the fruits of your labor...

if you look at the new AX901 made by audiovox it resembles everything about the viper 791... and if you open it up it will say dei somewhere in it.

its just for the new audiovox alarms right now cause i dont think prestige has released a new alarm yet
